Our Commitment

Lotus Moon is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make our yoga, meditation, and wellness platform inclusive and usable by all.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). We have chosen Level AA as our target for the Lotus Moon website and application.

Accessibility Features

Lotus Moon includes the following accessibility features:

  • Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard, including dropdown menus, theme switchers, and form controls.
  • Screen Reader Support: Proper ARIA landmarks, roles, and labels for assistive technologies throughout the application.
  • Skip Links: Skip to main content links for efficient navigation on every page.
  • Color Contrast: Text meets WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements across all six color themes in both light and dark modes.
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus states for all interactive elements.
  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and document structure.
  • Form Labels: All form inputs have associated labels or accessible names.
  • Error Announcements: Form error messages use role="alert" for screen reader announcement.
  • Alternative Text: Images include descriptive alternative text.
  • Responsive Design: Content is accessible on all device sizes.
  • Motion Preferences: Respects user preferences for reduced motion.
  • Dark Mode: Full dark mode support to accommodate light sensitivity and user preferences.

Supported Browsers and Assistive Technologies

Lotus Moon is designed to be compatible with the following:

  • Modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with JAWS
  • Modern browsers with NVDA
  • Safari with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
  • Chrome with TalkBack on Android

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, you may encounter some limitations. We are actively working to address the following:

  • Some video content may not yet have captions or transcripts available.
  • Third-party embedded content may not fully meet accessibility standards.

Assessment Approach

Lotus Moon assessed the accessibility of our platform through:

  • Automated testing during development
  • Manual testing with keyboard navigation
  • Testing with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA)
  • Regular accessibility audits (5 rounds completed as of February 2026)

Formal Complaints

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate by contacting us again with “Accessibility Complaint — Escalation” in the subject line.
